It was a cold rainy muddy run down memory lane last weekend. I recited my Bear poem for Tom and promised I'd make a You Tube video... I lied I'm going to do no such thing but I will pen my word art for you:
Bear, Oh Bear!
Into my friend Tom's flesh you did tear.
Why? Oh why?
"because he was there"

The sun has finally come out and I'm hopeful that the snow will melt and it will somday soon be possible to hike in the high country. This sort of spring is all about patience.
I am thinking about an October 100 -- there's a new race in Utah near Moab called Slickrock or something. Devil's Backbone is coming up in a few weeks. I'm anxious to get back into the mix.

That would be awesome if you decided to run the Slickrock 100. I want to pace you in that race if you do. :-)
I'm hoping the high country clears up eventually too because I really want to come hike in GNP in early August. What is the status of the Swan Crest this year?
Ooo, Slickrock, that would be badass! Moab is so awesome :)
Is there seriously a race called Slickrock??!! That sounds dangerous! Yowzers!
I like your bear poem! It is not all of us that can truly get into the mind of a bear. :) I love your sense of humor.
Snow seems to want to linger this year way beyond anyone's patience. High Sierras will be getting more of it today and tomorrow as if there was not enough of it already.
Cool bear poem. I am thinking that with all that snow bears are going to be a bit antsy this year also.
