HERE is Meghan's writeup and pictures. I've said it before and I'll say it again -- she's awesome.
It's the time of year where I don't have much to say -- it's because I'm tired and ready to enjoy the shoulder season. To me the shoulder season (i.e. no longer great hiking but not skiing season yet, or can't hike yet but the snow sucks for skiing) means sit around and eat bon bons. Or something. Until ski season I might do nothing. (Other than "run" Slickrock 100 in two weeks). Maybe one last hike if my schedule permits...seeing how it's actually fall and beautiful and perfect hiking season. But I'm ready to do nothing.

I love the shoulder seasons the best! Hardly any bugs AND fall colors, can't beat that. But the bonbons idea sounds good too, haha :)
Only that little 100-mile run in the desert. Don't forget about that!
I'm contemplating a R2R (with possibly another 2R) in the Grand Canyon in the days before the Slickrock100. My dad is actually planning on going Thursday and Friday. He may or may not want to go both directions but either way I can be on my way northeast by Friday night for whatever pacing duties I might be able to offer. Could be a whole week of fun redrock craziness if I can swing the logistics. Looking forward to it!
