Gosh, I know I'm being a big whiner, but my poor peonies!!! It hovered around 34 all day yesterday, and this morning I ran in 34 degree temperatures -- I wore gloves and even a hat. The hat was overkill, but I figured it would be good heat training. ;) Speaking of which, last night I spent 45 minutes in the sauna and was much sweatier than the prior day. I really enjoy sitting in the sauna. I want one!!!
In other news, there really is no other news. Tapering is pretty boring and uneventful -- I just have to try to maintain good nutrition and all that good stuff. Barrack Obama registered online for the Herron Hustle. I have a sneaking suspicion that someone else in Chicago registered as Obama. ;)

I did the sauna thing last year to heat acclimate. It would be a lot easier if we had one of those thingamajig's they have on turkey's that pop out when you are done.

It's just awful weather, isn't it? I just got back from a run in winter clothes, and it was as mentally traumatizing as physically traumatizing. I feel for you, girl.
Ok, heat training good. Very, very good. See my blog for an example of running a hot race without prior heat training.
Maybe Obama is planning a summer vacation to northern Montana? somebody tell him it's not actually summer yet! ;)

J to a C -- That would be awesome! I need one of those turkey things. Because it's hard to believe sitting in a sauna is going to help me run a hot race. If nothing else it seems to be a rite of passage. Or something.
