HIKE IN THE SWAN RANGE

Last weekend Ted, the dogs and I hiked about 7.5 miles in the Swan. We started at Napa Point. This hike is one of my favorites ever in the whole world. And is part of the Swan Crest 100 course, which will happen next year rather than this year.

I have only seen this area in the fall. The wildflowers were spectactular with the bear grass joyfully Dr. Suess-ifying the landscape.

I still get downright giddy when I go out on a hike and realize: I live here. I took action and made my life good. And it's very good. And I'm just positively happy. And for those wondering, the feet are healing up. In with the new skin out with the old. . .

Wow, very beautiful. Glad to hear you are growing new skin quickly. I still have to read you WS stuff. I am looking forward to it with my coffee. :)

"I took action and made my life good."

Well said. So many people want to make changes but never get the nerve up to do it.

Joe still marvels at how long you toughed it out in "the dark tower" given how happy you appear to be now.

Perhaps "W&S" was the real test of will power and mental toughness for you more so than the 100-mile WS?

Anyway, in my book, you're one tough cookie, and I'm glad to hear you're happy.

Amazing flowers, by the way.

Is this the sort of scenery one could expect on the swancrest 100-miler? If so, count me in!

Cheers, Paul

Paul 100% of what we hiked and you see in these pictures is on the Swan Crest 100 course.

Hurray for healing feet! Even though you're so much farther away from us, I'm glad you're happy! <3
